Busy week!

This week is going to be very busy and exciting! Tomorrow is the big appointment. We hopefully get to find out if this peanut is a boy or a girl. I will be 17 weeks and 4 days so hopefully everything will cooperate and the parts will be big enough and visible. We can't wait. Scott is taking the day off tomorrow to do some things around the house and work outside. My mom is taking off and going with us and of course Hayden Kate. Big sister has to be there. Wish us luck! I am working half a shift Thursday and then Friday we are headed down to Lake Whitney to spend Memorial weekend with the Tennison's. Can't wait because it is supposed to be a beautiful week and weekend so we can enjoy some time outside and Hayden can play and maybe even swim in her kiddie pool. Saturday we will go to Cleburne for our niece Maryn's 4th birthday party. It is a movie party so that should be pretty fun. I doubt Hay will sit through a movie but it will be fun anyway. I know my sweet hubby is thrilled because he can hopefully play golf Sunday. Every time he has tried to play this spring it has rained or he has had Hayden that day or something. I am so excited for him. He needs some man time to unwind and destress. The girls will probably just hang out outside and on the patio and enjoy the weather. Wish I could have a glass of wine with ya Gloria! Next spring! We'll come home Monday probably and start the week over again. I will post tomorrow after the big sono! Stay tuned!

Just a regular day!

She was watching Mickey in the car and wouldn't look at the camera.
Her piggies are finally long enough that all her hair stays up in them.
She was so excited to go Bye Bye!

Today Hayden and I had a big day planned. We got all cute and we were going to have lunch at our favorite Chick-fil-A, I try to take here there once a week for lunch. Then we were going to go to Blockbuster and get movies for the weekend and then go grocery shopping. We got all ready and headed out to the car and as soon as I opened the garage door we noticed it was pouring down rain. WHAT? I don't know where it came from or that it was even supposed to rain. Needless to say, grocery shopping and getting a toddler in and out of a car while raining is no fun and not worth it. We loaded up anyway because at this point she was way to excited to stay home. We hit Blockbuster first and quickly ran in the whole time her saying "Wet Mommy, Raining." I said I know and we hurried in, picked out our movies and headed out. Then I decided we would drive through Chick so we could have lunch at home. Not as much fun but she still enjoys it. We drove through and got our food and headed home. Bummer when your plans get screwed. Scott is so sweet and said he would go with us to the store when he gets home. Such a good hubby and it will be so nice to have the help with wild woman. Here's a couple pics from cutie pie today!

Mother's Day!

I had a wonderful second mother's day. Saturday my mother and father in law came in to town so we could take her out for a mother's day celebration. We went to lunch at Gloria and I's favorite Abuelo's. It was so yummy! Hayden is such a good girl when we go out to eat. She may make a mess with her food, but she loves to go out and see people and talk to the waitresses. So cute! We had a really good time. We did a little shopping in the Highlands and hung out at the house for the rest of the afternoon. I had a wedding to go to that night so I left and Daddy was left to babysit. Sunday Scott cooked a really really good brisquit on the smoker and we had my parents over, my grandparents, both my brothers and my soon to be sis in law. We had bbq and all the fixins. It was so much fun just hanging out at the house and enjoying everybodys company. Hayden (Scott) got me a beautiful bouquet of tulips, which are one of my fav. She also made a cute card with Nana that had her handprints on it and said Happy Mother's Day and I love you. So cute, I wanted to cry! My Mimi gave me a pretty hanging basket with flowers in it. It was a wonderful day and I am truly blessed to be Hayden's mommy. Can't wait until next year when I have two to celebrate.

This was Miss Priss before we went to lunch Saturday with Grammy and Pa. Grammy's new name is Bubbles. I know it is hilarious but Hayden calls her that and there is no changing it so she if forever known as Bubbles. Long story how that came about.

Random Pics!

There hasn't been a whole lot to update on lately. Even though Hayden and this new baby are the most important things going on in our lives, there hasn't been much going on with either. The weather has been icky so not many outings and with the swine flu scare I really don't mind staying home. We won't find out until May 19 what the new baby is so until then kind of in limbo. Can't wait to know and get to pick out a name and decorate a nursery again. It was so much fun, not to mention a lot of work, decorating Hayden's room and I can't wait to do it again. I have a very dear friend that made Hayden's bedding and she has volunteered to make this one too. So when we find out we can go and pick out fabrics and get started. She has several things to make so I really appreciate her taking time for us. She does beautiful work and it is so special. Here are some pics of Hayden throughout the last couple of weeks. We went to the park with Papa one day and then the rest are of her goofing around the house.

Being silly!
Hayden and Papa watching the ducks and I'm sure having a life lesson :) So sweet!
Hayden and Papa were feeding the squirrels french fries.
There was one squirrel that was eating the french fries out of Papa's hand. She loved it, she wouldn't hand feed them though she would throw the food at them. They got so close it was kind of creepy.
In her wagon ride around the lake. Little Princess!
This was in the car to go pick up Papa. She was so excited when she saw him and when he was loading her wagon in the car.

13 weeks!

Yesterday was my second OB appointment and everything looked great. We had another sono and baby looked great, measuring right on, actually a couple of days ahead but it all evens out in the end. All my labs from last appt were great and everything is right on schedule. The exciting news is that my doctor said that he would do another sono next time to try and find out the sex. He was going to wait until 2 more appts and I would be 21 weeks but he said next time we could definitely try. I will be 17 1/2 weeks so he said as long as baby is cooperating we should find it. Oh my gosh, that is May 19. I can not wait. If nothing else, we get to see baby again. He will probably still do one the next time just to confirm. We are so excited baby is doing good and everything is on track. Good news too is that my cold is going away and my doctor said at this point in my pregnancy I can take "pretty much" whatever for it. That sucks because I have been suffering for a week with this and just taking tylenol. Oh well, baby is safer that way. Hayden got to go to the appt and was so cute and visited all the people that have not seen here since she was 6 weeks old. She had no idea of course what was going on with the sono but she was intently watching my belly with all the goop on it. Anyway, all is well at the Tennison's. Love to all!

Miss Hayden!

This was at home before we left to go get Daddy. She was being impatient and wanted her shoes on and to go.
I'm bad, I didn't take as many pics as I should. This was in the car on the way to Grammy and Pa's.

OK, so I have been a really bad Mommy. I haven't blogged on Hayden Kate in a while. We haven't done too much lately so there hasn't been much to say. I think pregnancy sickness and being tired have made Hayden and Mommy home bodies for the last several weeks. Easter weekend started out great. Friday we picked up Daddy from "wuk" as Hayden calls it, and then headed down to White Bluff to Scott's parents. They live on the 18th green so Hayden loves running around the golf course with Daddy and Pa. Saturday was cousin Carter's 1st birthday party so we went to Cleburne for that and then went and had dinner with everyone afterwards. It was really fun but Hayden had not had a nap and was very irritable and dinner so it was cute a little short. Saturday night she woke up at midnight screaming and burning up with fever. She was up for several hours until the tylenol kicked in and she calmed down and went to sleep. Needless to say we did not get to go to Easter service with Grammy and Pa Sunday morning. Bummer! She didn't get to wear her precious Easter outfit or anything. Oh well, that's not the point of it anyway. We stayed for lunch but had a very irritable, clingy, hot girl so we headed home early. Ever since then we have been fighting this cold. We went to the Dr. Wed and they said it was just a viral cold and not much we could do. She is so pitiful. Being a nurse does not make it any easier to take care of sick ones when they are your own. We have had many sleepless nights this week and fussy girl, which is very unlike her. Anyway, that's what's been going on with us this week. I am so glad I only work PRN and don't have to worry about calling in or her being with someone else when she isn't feeling well. Hopefully she will be on the mend this weekend. We plan on vegging out with Daddy and staying in.

Intelligender

OK, so I caved a week or so ago and did the Intelligender test. I know some of you have heard of it but for those who have not, it is a urine test that supposedly tells you the sex of the baby. I don't really know what it is checking for in the urine but it supposedly works. I real the testimonials about it before I bought it and they were pretty much right on. Of course they are not going to post anything negative but what they hey. You have to use your first morning urine and it was on a Saturday morning so Scott was home. Ours said... GIRL! Now of course Scott said he already knows it's going to be a girl and that was no suprise to him. Neither of us care either way and another sweet girl would be great. Of course a boy would be great too. The way I feel, God gives you what you are suppossed to have and that's that. We are not paitning another room pink right now, we are going to wait until the official sono in June but it was fun to test. Anyway, just wanted to throw that out there. Stay posted for more on baby!
