Mama's boy already :)

Sister was very interested in the baby
First family pic, it was late just after he was born so Hay was a little cranky and confused.

Pictures

Here are some pictures from when Jack was born and some since we have been home. He has grown so much even since these pics. I will post more in the weeks to come. We are all doing well here. Hayden is such a good big sister and has done really well with her little brother and having to share time with mom and dad.

Jackson Daniel Tennison

Well Jack is here!!! Actually it's been almost 2 weeks but needless to say we have been very busy around here. Life with two is hectic but so much fun. Back to the baby story. I was in preterm labor for a couple of weeks before Jack came so when I went in on Monday September 28th I thought just another checkup. When my doctor checked me I was a good 3 cm dilated and 60% effaced. Since I have my babies very quickly he went ahead and stripped my membranes and figured that would put me into labor that day. He said if it didn't work then I would come back the next morning and do it again. He was sure I would go into labor in the next few weeks. I was 36 1/2 weeks which I was ok with. I had Hayden and 36 weeks and she did fine. Well I went home thinking nothing would happen. I took my shower, ate lunch and laid down with Hayden for a nap. When I woke up it was around 3:15 and I definitely felt something weird going on. I didn't want to panic and since we had already been to Labor and Delivery twice and sent home I was scared to get my hopes up. I waited until 5:00 when Scott got home from work and I told him what was going on. He could clearly see it on my face that this was it. We loaded up Hayden, got my bags and the babies bags and headed out. We got to the hospital at around 6:00 or so and I was exactly the same as the morning but having good regular contractions. They had my walk for an hour and then rechecked me... nothing same as before. The nurse called my doctor and he agreed this was probably it and to keep me. Yay! They started my IV and gave me some Stadol, they figured if maybe I relaxed that I would dilate. They gave me fluids and went ahead and started my epidural. Since I didn't get one with Hay I was very excited. The epidural worked at first or so I thought but I could always move my legs and feel everything. By this time I was on pitocin and the contractions were harder and stronger. I asked the nurse if I should be feeling it and she said I could have another dose. Anyway she checked my again and I was 6 cm, by this time it was about 11 pm or so. In the next hour I started having very hard contractions and we came to the conclusion that the epidural did not work. Uggghhh! The nurse said she would check me and maybe we could do the epidural again... nope. I was dilated to a 10 and ready to push. My doctor was still at the hospital so he came in very quickly. 4 pushes later and baby Jack was here. He was born September 29th at 12:30 a.m. weighing 5lbs 11oz and was 18 inches long. He was perfect. On a side note September 29th is my birthday so what a great present to me. He did so well and we went home on Thursday. We have been settling into this new 2 kids role and are loving it. Hayden is adjusting "ok" and can't quit kissing and hugging her little bro. She gets mad at me and Scott but rather us than the baby. I will post pics when I have a chance just wanted to update. Thanks for all the well wishes!
