Birthday party crafts

I did a candy bar and these were the cute little glass bowls and jars that I put them in. I don't think I have a pic of the finished product though. Hopefully someone took a pic for me.

The birthday banner I made. The cricut is my new best friend.

The door wreath. It's hard to read but it says the party is here.

Lollipop decorations I made. Again, I don't know if I have any pics of them actually decorated and around the house. You get the idea though.

The goody bags for the candy bar. The sticker on it says "thank you for making my 3rd birthday so sweet" It has a big H and Hayden across it. The other sign was displayed on the candy bar table. Hayden's sweet shop.

First Day!

Last week Hayden started back at Mother's Day Out. This was on our way out the door as we were finishing up getting ready. She does so great when I drop her off. She puts her things away in her cubby and gives me kisses and hugs and tells me bye bye.

Back pack on and all ready to leave. Daddy went into work late and went with me to drop her off. She was so proud of her class room and had a great first day.

At the fountain in front of school. She was so wound up she would not look at me for the picture.

Dance class!

We registered Haydie for dance class a couple of weeks ago. She won't start until Aug 30th but we had to model our new shoes and play around a bit. She's going to take ballet/tap/tumbling. It's going to be so cute and I can't wait for it to start.

I'll post more pics when we actually start and we see how she does.

Meet the teacher night

A couple of weeks ago before school started we went up to Tate Springs and met her teacher. She is in the 3 year old class now and her new teacher is Mrs. Danielle. Her class room is a lot bigger this year and it looks like there is going to be lots of fun new activities for her to do. She has her own cubby like last year but this year she goes in each morning and puts her lunch and nap mat and backpack away herself. So cute! She was very excited to go and see her new class and we can't wait to start back.

Mimi's 75th

Saturday we headed down to Glen Rose to Mimi and Grandaddy's ranch for Mimi's birthday celebration. She turned the big 75! My uncle and cousins were there and of course all of us, Mom, Dad, Casey, Liz, Matthew and Lindsey. My aunt Shirley and cousin Julie came from The Woodlands and it was so nice to see them. We had hamburgers and hot dogs and played ladder golf and visited. It was a really nice day!
Bubba being silly and the center of attention of course.
Hayden "helping" Mimi open her gifts.
Somebody got in the cake...can't imagine who would have done that.
The gang!

Hayden's hair cut

I took Miss Priss to get her hair cut last weekend. She hasn't had it cut but one other time right before she turned 1. It was half way down her back and getting a little raggedy looking so we chopped. The lady cute more than 6 inches off. It looks way better and much more healthy.
The ends look better and her hair looks thicker.
I didn't realize how thin and fried it looked. I took this one right before we went in. I took her to cool cuts for kids and she loved it. She got to sit in a yellow car and and watch Toy Story while they cut. She did fabulous!
Just a cute pic before we left. She is such a ham.

My girl!

Just a cute pic of Hayden Kate that her daddy took yesterday. Love this little girl and I can't believe she's almost 3.

Teefy's

Jack's bottom two teeth have both finally broken through. Thank goodness! He is 10 months and just now getting his first teeth. Better late than never I guess. It's been a rough week with him. He's been running fever and had tummy issues and very restless and cranky. Last night was back to normal so maybe were through with this round. I'm sure because it's so late he will be cutting his top ones soon too, great! Oh well, this is a cute pic and if you look close you can see both the teeth. Sweet boy!

Hayden's Invitation

Hayden's birthday party invite. I think it turned out so cute. I ordered it from a girl on etsy and she created it and then I just had them printed through costco. Really happy with them.

Getting there!

This is such a typical day with Jack. This happens almost everytime I open the fridge.
Walking behind his walker toy thing. He's doing pretty well. He can even change directions when he gets stuck at a wall or door.

He is eating peaches and bananas for lunch. He drinks from the sippy cup but hasn't mastered it quite yet. I think once he's done teething he will do better. Right now all he wants to do is gnaw on it.

Jack is getting to be such a big boy. Just in the last few days I feel like we are totally done with baby food. He loved it at first and would eat any I would give to him, but I have introduced more table foods and he so prefers that. He does really well with what I have given him and now that he has his two bottom teeth almost in, he can eat things pretty good. I am still nursing so I will probably continue that until he turns one but I think baby food is over. That's fine with me because it's much easier to give him some of whatever we are eating. He is also starting to walk behind this toy that Hayden used to walk with too. He has been pulling up for a while and walking along things but he is doing much better with this toy also. I bet he is walking within the month. I am really going to try and work on it with him. I am a little sad but also ready for him to be able to walk. Hayden walked at 11 1/2 months but I think he will be sooner that that. He still gets up during the night which is a killer but I am so used to it now that I wont know what it's like to get a full nights sleep. I am ready for him to sleep through the night but I think it's a breast feed boy thing. He is not hungry I just think it's a comfort thing because as soon as I pick him up he is back to sleep pretty quick. It would probably help if he didn't sleep with us but whatever. Hayden slept with us as a baby too and we loved it so Jack is just continuing on with that tradition. I know it's a bit controversial but that is what works for our family. They are only little once and we really don't mind it. It's a good bonding for us and we feel like we are a very close little family. Hayden loves her big girl bed so I know he will get there too. No worries! Here are a couple of pics of Jack's little milestones.

Kids summer pics!

Our sweet friend Christi took the kids pictures a few weeks back and they turned out great. She has been taking our pics since Hayden was in my belly. She is wonderful and her pictures are beautiful. I am so pleased with how they came out and now I just can't decide which ones to buy. Check out the pictures at her site www.candidchicphotos.com and then go under clients and view proofs. Type in your email address or mine mindy.tennison@sbcglobal.net and the password is mindy. Let me know what you think :)

My babies

My princess! She really is, in every sense of the word, a princess. Girly girl, diva, drama queen. She starts dance class at the end of August and we are so excited. I say we, because I am just as excited as her. I started dance at 2 and danced up until high school. I loved it and I hope she does too. Can't wait to see how she does. Love this girl!
Bubba was riding the Mickey plane and of course big sister had to show him how it was done.
He looks like such a big boy. Of course sister is there to "help".
I love these two more than words can express. They are my world and the best parts of Scott and I.
Enough said with this pic. Bubba got to go swimming all by himself with mommy and daddy. Hayden was over at Nana's having some special time so we took Jack swimming with us. He loves the pool and loves being outside period. He is such a happy boy, most of the time. If you look close you can barely see his bottom teeth starting to come through. Love this boy :)

Jackson 10 months

This is so typical Jack! No sitting still ever and just hanging out in his diaper, hee hee.

Baby Jack turned 10 months old on July 29th. Can't believe he has been with us for almost a year. It has flown by but at the same time he seems like he's been with us forever. We truly can't remember life without our two precious babies. Our little family feels complete and I think I can safely say we are done. We have a boy and a girl, two very healthy kids and are so blessed. We just can't wait to experience life as they grow up together and start getting into fun activities. Life is great for us and we are loving every minute of it.
