Houston trip

This past weekend we went down to Houston for my great aunts 75th birthday bash. We had so much fun. It was a very quick trip, we left early Saturday morning and came back Sunday. It was totally worth it to get to see family we haven't seen in a long time, and for everyone to get to see Hayden. We went to dinner on Market Street in The Woodlands at a fabulous restaurant called Jasper's. It was very quick and I wish we could have stayed longer to do a little shopping. Hayden ended up getting sick and running a fever Saturday night and now we are fighting a cold. Houston was great and we all had a great time.

Busy! Busy!

This has been a very busy week. Christmas is quickly approaching and there seems to be so much left to do. Although I am done with my shopping... pretty much, I feel like I am running out of time. The girls are going to Houston this weekend for my aunt's 75th birthday party plus I am working 2 days in between all of that and then Christmas Eve is Wednesday. Crazy! Anyway lots going on this week and weekend and I will be sure and post after our trip. It should be fun, we are taking Hayden to a ginger bread house thing and a Winter Wonderland of lights where Santa will be. I will update when we return. Happy Holidays to all!

Christmas time!

I am so looking forward to Christmas. Last year Hayden was only 3 months old and didn't know much of what was going on. This year she is so cute. She still may not understand totally but she is loving the decorations and we talk about Santa all the time. She gets excited and says "Ohhh" and makes this cute little face when we talk about him. The decorations are finally finished and everything looks so festive. Once my camera charges I will take more pics and post them. Hope everyone is having a blessed season.

Thanksgiving

We had a great turkey day. It started out Thursday with the Grier side of the family. We went to Ronny's house in Maypearl and had dinner with that whole side of the family. There was about 30 people there. Hayden had a great time, she has lots of cousins on that side of the family to play with. Then we headed out Thursday night to the Tennison's (Grammy and Paw) in Whitney. Scott's brother Jason and his wife Amy came with our neice and nephew Maryn and Carter. We had Thanksgiving with them on Friday and spent the rest of the weekend there. The girls and kids went shopping Saturday at the outlets in Hillsboro. Spent way too much money but we had a good time. Scott got to golf which always makes him happy. The weather was cold so we stayed inside and bundled up. We watched Christmas movies and drank hot chocolate. The holidays are officially here and started out great. Can't wait till Christmas!

Blogging!

OK, so I am blogging! I have done a baby jellybeans site for Hayden but this is totally different and very simple. I have followed friends blogs and finally decided I must do one. What is going on in our world... well the holidays are here and we are very excited about that. Hayden is at such a fun age for Christmas time. She has loved helping Mama and Daddy decorate the tree and wants to be outside playing in this seasonal weather. We are loving it too! Scott is on vacation this week and we love having Daddy at home with us. I am working PRN and love it. I feel like I get to stay home with Hayden and still do what I love as a nurse. It works out great and right now we are thankful financially that I can do that. I will try and post as often as I can but having a little one is super busy. I am excited to journey through this new world of blogging.
