Jackson Daniel :)

Last Monday I took Jack to the doctor for his 4 month well visit and everything went great! He weighs 12 lbs 4.5 ounces (5th percentile) and is 24 inches long (15th percentile). I was pretty surprised about his weight because I was sure he was bigger than that. I think he is short so he just seems chubby. He has rolls and all that good stuff and Dr. Joki said he is a happy healthy boy. Dr. Joki had to remind me that Jack was a month early and so really he would only be 3 months and for a 3 month old he is big. He reminded me that he is competing with full term 4 month olds which makes me feel better. He has met all his milestones and the doctor told me that I can introduce solids if I want or I can wait until closer to 6 months. He felt like he would do well either way. I have tried rice cereal, bananas, applesauce, and squash and he loves it all. I knew he would because he is a little piggy. I started solids with Hay at 4 months and she did great so I thought I would try and I guess he's ready too. This is a whole new chapter we are heading into with him and I love this stage. He was pretty colicky for a while and I think that is all coming to and end too...I hope. He still doesn't sleep through the whole night and gets up 1 or 2 times to nurse which is ok with me. I know he is my last one and I love breast feeding so I am going to enjoy it as long as he wants to. I love that time at night with him :) I also don't have to get up and go to work in the morning so it really doesn't matter to me. I am still just working PRN and it is wonderful for our family and my babies. I am so blessed that I get to stay home pretty much every day with them. I have the best husband that takes such good care of our family and allows me to do that.

Hayden Kate is loving MDO. I knew my little social butterfly would do fabulous. She loves her teacher and talks about her all the time and the mornings she goes to school she is rushing me out the door. Mrs. Kim gives lots of hugs and tells them all she loves them when they leave each day. When I go to pick her up she is so happy to see me and can't stop talking about her friends and what she did that day. I am so blessed that she has a teacher she loves and that has made it so much easier for me and her. On another note with missy, she has slept all night in her own bed for 4 straight nights now. Those who know our struggle with this know what a big deal this is. It wasn't so much her not being ready as it was mommy and daddy. We truly loved having out sweetie in the bed with us and it was kind of sad for us that she did so well with it. She takes her naps in there too which I hate because I loved nothing more than to snuggle with both my babies for an afternoon nap. Oh well, it's part of her growing up and I am so proud of her. She is proud of herself too because she tells us each morning how good she did and what a big girl she is and that she needs a surprise.

Well sorry for the long post but alot to be thankful for and talk about. My babies are just the best and we are loving life right now. Jack has been such a little blessing to our family and we feel very complete and happy. God is good and has blessed us in so many ways!
